Many post frame buildings in a rural setting still only need poles in the ground on a concrete or composite pad. Certain municipalities and certain building types will require concrete in the hole. Locations such as Larimer County, Boulder County and others are requiring concrete in every hole.

Concrete is used for "uplift" that is why certain jurisdictions will require this and added rebar. They do not want your building to lift up in a windstorm to put it simply.

We highly suggest post protectors if using concrete as the concrete can decay the integrity of the post over a long period of time. Let us know if you want post protectors added.
